Leafy spurge (Euphorbia esula) has invaded my horse pasture! This aggressive perennial Eurasion weed is responsible for the degradation of thousands of acres of rangeland out west...but now I see this plant all over Wisconsin (including my horse pasture). Seems the highway right-of-ways are chock-full of this deep rooted rascal. Add allelopathy to it's arsenal of weapons....basically able to inhibit the growth of native plants to the benefit of itself. Lovely. This one is on my hate list (with garlic mustard). If you can, keep it out of your horse pastures and your property to keep it from spreading!
